A Word From Joey
CFM's goal has always been to fulfill our promise of protection to our policyholders. In 2023, with a record amount of claim activity, we delivered on that promise.
In reaction to increased severe weather and economic impacts, among other issues, in 2024, we changed our insurance products to ensure we can continue to fulfill our promise for years to come.
We introduced a wind and hail deductible that is one percent of the dwelling limit as policies renew. We have also updated our Underwriting Guidelines to react to changes in the industry. For example, a roof over 15 years will now be restricted to Actual Cash Value Coverage.
We understand these changes are significant but feel they are appropriate for the current climate and align with market-wide changes. Many carriers are now limiting new business, adjusting coverages, and sometimes even withdrawing programs from states.
With 155 years under CFM's belt, we have experienced good times and hard times. As we go through the uncertain present, we will adapt and innovate to remain your insurance partner for the next 155 years.
